Senior Engineer, In-Car Visualization

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Nevada, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of, design, and implement visualization solutions that engage Motional’s customers.

• Collaborate effectively with teams across Autonomy, Perception, Mapping, and other functional areas.

• Contribute to the development of internal visualization applications for vehicles.

• Improve and manage best practices for automated UI testing.

• Promote standards for performance, scalability, and maintainability.

• Deliver quickly and iterate within a product-focused environment.

• Create intuitive experiences for intricate, data-intensive workflows.

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong expertise in C++ or Java.

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across functions.

• Capability to work with a high degree of ownership and independence.

• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to mentor and delegate tasks to engineers of varying experience levels.

• Well-established habits of technical design and documentation.

• Ability to engage directly with customers to assess their needs.

• E-Verify employment eligibility verification for newly hired individuals.

• Prior experience with autonomous vehicles is a plus but not mandatory.

• Proficiency in Kotlin is advantageous but not required.

• Background in Game Development or 3D Visualization is a bonus but not essential.

• Understanding of effective versus ineffective UX flow is a bonus but not necessary.
