This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Design, develop, and maintain production services within the Authentication Service, ensuring accuracy, scalability, and security.
• Enhance AI agent authentication functionalities to securely manage AI agent access to enterprise resources.
• Improve the performance of networked applications for latency and throughput by utilizing profiling tools and effective concurrency models.
• Implement threat modeling and vulnerability management strategies to safeguard data integrity in distributed environments.
• Leverage AI coding and debugging tools while assessing outputs for accuracy, security risks, and architectural compatibility.
• Collaborate with product, security, and AI engineering teams to provide end-to-end authentication capabilities.
• Develop unit and integration tests addressing failure scenarios.
• Perform code and design reviews for colleagues.
• Take ownership of assigned services through all stages: design, implementation, deployment, and ongoing maintenance.
• Ensure the availability and latency SLOs of authentication services are met, maintain test coverage, deliver features on the roadmap, and support the Agentic protection roadmap.
• Over 3 years of experience in building and managing production systems.
• Practical production experience with programming languages such as Rust, Python, or Go.
• Capability to optimize networked applications for latency and throughput using profiling and concurrency strategies.
• Strong engineering background focused on security, including threat modeling, vulnerability management, and maintaining data integrity in distributed systems.
• Proven track record in comprehensive unit, integration, and failure-scenario testing.
• Practical knowledge of AI coding assistants with the ability to critically evaluate their outputs.
• Experience with OAuth, OIDC, or SAML is preferred.
• Familiarity with AI agent systems, agentic frameworks, or machine-to-machine authentication patterns is preferred.
• Background in foundational platform or infrastructure services is preferred.
• Base salary range of 112,000 CAD - 168,000 CAD.
• Eligibility for stock-based compensation grants, providing opportunities for employees to become shareholders in Menlo Security.
