Senior Electrical Estimator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Evaluate architectural, electrical, and construction drawings, specifications, and tender documents to establish project scope and identify any discrepancies.

• Create precise, detailed, and submission-ready quotes and tenders for upscale residential electrical projects, encompassing labor, materials, and specialized systems such as alarms, CCTV, access control, intercoms, audio-visual systems, home cinemas, and smart home automation.

• Perform digital take-offs and plan mark-ups, including the preparation of drawings and detailed information for on-site teams.

• Review drawings from the tender phase to construction, identify changes in scope, and prepare thorough variation quotes.

• Collaborate with clients, builders, and suppliers to clarify requirements, obtain pricing, and resolve estimating inquiries.

• Maintain clear cost breakdowns, assumptions, exclusions, and supporting documentation to facilitate seamless project handovers.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical estimating, including senior-level responsibilities, with prior involvement in Australian electrical projects.

• Comprehensive understanding of Australian electrical installations, materials, labor costs, and estimating methodologies.

• Experience in estimating specialized systems, including security, CCTV, access control, intercoms, audio-visual systems, home cinemas, and smart home automation, ideally including knowledge of Crestron and Control4.

• Proficiency in Groundplan for digital take-offs and plan mark-ups, along with familiarity with Ascora and Google Drive.

• Familiarity with AI tools for estimating, document review, and enhancing workflow efficiency.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to prepare professional, client-ready quotes and effectively communicate with Australian stakeholders.

• Proven experience in identifying scope gaps and preparing variations throughout the construction process.

• Strong attention to detail, commercial acumen, and the ability to deliver precise, submission-ready estimates with minimal supervision and revisions.

• Candidate must be based in the Philippines.
