Estimator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Provide estimates for window treatments, drapery, and shading projects across residential, commercial, and hospitality sectors.

• Conduct drafting, layout tasks, calculations, construction take-offs, and budget management.

• Create drawings based on provided plans and sketches.

• Execute component-based material take-offs from developed shop drawings.

• Oversee the daily workflow and output of the department.

• Organize and prioritize projects effectively.

• Calculate time and budget estimates for projects based on necessary materials and resources.

• Maintain a system for recurring or standard projects.

• Ensure that completed projects satisfy customer and project specifications.

• Utilize tools such as Google Suite, Microsoft Office, Hubstaff, WhatsApp, Zoom, AutoCAD, and PDF Editor.

• Carry out other job-related responsibilities as needed.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in English: upper intermediate, advanced, or fluent.

• Strong and verifiable background in engineering or architecture with relevant experience.

• A minimum of 2 years of construction estimating experience, specifically with drapery and windows.

• Familiarity with software tools like AutoCAD, PlanSwift, Countfire, etc.

• Capability to perform drafting, layout work, basic calculations, take-offs, and budgeting related to construction details.

• Competence in preparing drawings from provided plans and sketches.

• Ability to conduct component-based material take-offs from established shop drawings.

• Maintain a professional demeanor and ethical conduct.

• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.

• Proficient in effectively communicating information among expert teams.

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Capacity to identify, establish, and prioritize tasks.

• Ability to follow directions or specific instructions when necessary.

• Knowledge of PlanSwift or similar software.

• Experience in managing departmental workflow and project assignments.

• Skill in calculating project time and budget estimates based on materials and resources.

• Ensure that completed projects meet customer and project requirements.

• Must have a personal computer with internet access.

• Comfortable using Hubstaff for time tracking.

• Able to provide a 1.5–2 minute voice note in English.

• Submission of work samples or portfolio in PDF format is required.
