Estimator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the estimating process from drawings to tender.

• Analyze and interpret architectural, structural, and steel drawings along with specifications.

• Conduct precise quantity take-offs, particularly for structural steel.

• Develop Bills of Quantities using Excel.

• Prepare and distribute tender packages to approved subcontractors and suppliers.

• Monitor tender responses, follow up on pricing, and compare quotes.

• Create comprehensive estimates for review and approval by the Australian team.

• Maintain organized and up-to-date estimating files, templates, and records.

• Assist with administrative and process improvement tasks during slower periods.

• Collaborate with the Australian team on estimates.

⛳️ Requirements

• A degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.

• Over 3 years of experience in construction estimating or quantity surveying.

• Demonstrated experience in conducting take-offs.

• Proficient in interpreting construction drawings and specifications.

• Advanced Excel capabilities for creating BOQs and pricing schedules.

• Exceptional written and verbal English skills, ensuring clear and timely communication.

• Experience with Australian construction projects is advantageous.

• Familiarity with crane, rigging, or heavy-lift projects is a plus.

• Knowledge of Buildsoft, Bluebeam, or PlanSwift is preferred.

• Familiarity with Procore and Microsoft 365 is beneficial.

• Experience in government or civil infrastructure projects is desirable.

• Must disclose any existing ongoing roles or client engagements.

• Must represent the engagement on LinkedIn as "Independent Contractor."
