Senior Editor – Regional Health, Europe

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Evaluate new submissions and manuscript transfers from various The Lancet journals to choose top-tier journal content.

• Identify specialists to serve as peer reviewers.

• Compose editorials.

• Commission content to enhance the journal’s profile and oversee special project content.

• Cultivate and sustain relationships with the regional health community to attract research and thought leadership.

• Represent the journal at conferences and events to pinpoint topics and authors, while remaining updated on regional health advancements.

• Advocate for the journal and its content through social media and other communication platforms.

• Participate in multimedia initiatives, including journal podcasts.

• Propose and assist in developing strategies for the journal’s future growth and improvement.

• Collaborate with other Senior Editors and the Editor-in-Chief on editorial strategies.

• Experience in research within a relevant field or involvement in the broader development community.

• Editorial experience and familiarity with the journal publishing process are beneficial but not mandatory.

• Exceptional critical analysis capabilities.
