Senior Domain Engineering Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Interact with customers regarding security-related products, architectures, and risk issues within the Veeam Data Platform.

• Conduct readiness assessments and spearhead data modeling to confirm solution designs and expedite decision-making.

• Oversee attack surfaces and vulnerabilities, including monitoring DRMM scores.

• Analyze telemetry and recurring inspection signals, report trends, and gather potential health assessments.

• Validate designs to mitigate risks associated with adoption and speed up the time to value.

• Identify and communicate opportunities for expansion; review usage trends and organize checkpoint evaluations.

• Collaborate with CISO/CIO stakeholders regarding risks, current status, and potential opportunities.

• Compile insights from account health and CSE-led Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs).

• Assist Account Executives in initiatives focused on security and AI-driven expansions.

• Shape roadmap priorities in conjunction with Customer Success Engineer peers.

• Function as a shared resource for both Enterprise and Commercial-Named accounts, typically managing accounts with an ARR of $100K+, with a coverage ratio of approximately 1 Security Success Engineer to 6–8 CSEs.

• Not primarily responsible for onboarding processes and renewals.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in engineering architecture for cybersecurity-related products, including roles such as Security Engineer/Architect, Cloud Solution Architect, or MLOps/ML Engineer.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.

• Relevant certifications like CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or an equivalent qualification.

• Proficiency in data security and governance, including DSPM/DLP.

• Knowledge of AI/ML architectures.

• Proven experience engaging with CISO/CIO stakeholders on risk management, resilience, and modernization strategies.

• Practical experience with solution design, proof of concepts (POCs), telemetry monitoring, and maturity modeling.

• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and collaboration skills across functions.

• Remote work is only available for employees residing in Germany.

• VMCE certification can be obtained after joining the team.
