Senior Director, Product Management – Financial Platforms

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead and develop a high-performing product management team consisting of 6–10 product managers, including those in managerial roles.

• Mentor, build, and manage PMs; establish standards, create development pathways, and foster ownership, rigor, and transparency.

• Own the vision and long-term strategy for Loans Lifecycle and Money Movement.

• Specify roadmaps and execution decisions for scalable, compliant loan systems and global money movement infrastructure.

• Act as an executive-level subject matter expert on loan lifecycle mechanics, payment rails, settlement flows, and institutional transfers.

• Collaborate with Engineering, Accounting, Treasury, Capital Markets, Legal, Compliance, and Client Success teams.

• Facilitate cross-functional alignment while balancing the needs of competing stakeholders.

• Design platform strategies that support standardized loan behaviors, international growth, new markets, and product lines.

• Define and enhance platform health metrics, including settlement success rates, reconciliation coverage, exception volumes, and time-to-resolution.

• Communicate strategy, trade-offs, and priorities to senior leadership while influencing investment decisions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 15 years of experience in product management.

• 3–5 years of experience managing and developing PM teams, including those in leadership positions.

• Extensive experience in loans or lending systems.

• In-depth understanding of loan lifecycle mechanics and loan-servicing platform architecture.

• Knowledge of compliance and operational requirements related to lending systems.

• Significant experience in money movement, payments infrastructure, or financial operations.

• Proficiency in payment rails, settlement flows, cross-border transfers, and standards for reliability and accuracy.

• Background in fintech, financial services, or banking.

• Familiarity with BNPL, platform products, or backend infrastructure is strongly preferred.

• A capital markets background is an advantage.

• Capability to establish and implement long-term platform strategy in dynamic, fast-paced environments.

• Strong technical fluency, including discussions related to data models and APIs.

• Proficient with AI-assisted tools such as Claude and Cursor.

• Experience in building and scaling high-performing distributed PM teams across various domains.

• Exceptional skills in stakeholder management.

• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience.
