Principal Imminent Risk – Law Enforcement Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Lead a team of Senior and Junior Specialists operating 24/7 while remaining actively involved.

• Oversee daily operations across day, evening, and overnight shifts.

• Review and categorize content, manage edge cases and escalations, and identify imminent-risk cases in accordance with client directives.

• Create and uphold shift schedules, including handling PTO, sick leave coverage, and weekend on-call rotations.

• Conduct final interviews, onboard and train new employees, and establish team protocols.

• Facilitate calibration sessions, assess QA results, and address performance-related concerns.

• Maintain ongoing communication with evening and overnight teams, including outside of regular hours when necessary.

• Act as the primary contact for 10a Labs and the client.

• Promote team wellbeing and assist the Program Manager in fostering a healthy and sustainable work environment.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 4 years of experience in law enforcement or a related field.

• Training in at least one relevant area: crisis intervention, threat assessment, or violent crime.

• Investigative experience involving violent content, credible threats, or violent extremist materials.

• Experience in supervising shifts or teams.

• Proficient in creating and managing schedules for shift work (multi-shift or 24/7 operations).

• Comfortable with reviewing distressing content on a regular basis.

• Demonstrates strong judgment in ambiguous, high-stakes situations.

• Possesses clear and confident communication skills with the Program Manager, team members, and client stakeholders.

• Adaptable and comfortable with uncertainty while establishing a new team, including willingness to work outside of regular hours when needed.

• Must be a U.S. person (U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, or other protected individual) residing in the United States.

• Capable of passing a background check.

• Must have reliable internet and a quiet, private workspace suitable for reviewing sensitive information.
