Senior Director – Portfolio and Project Management

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Contribute to the strategy, vision, and mission of the partnership program.

• Oversee the lifecycle management of drug development and commercialization within the partnership program.

• Provide leadership for strategies related to global product development.

• Establish effective team management and communication processes.

• Drive strategic decision-making within the team and ensure the delivery of team goals and objectives.

• Lead initiatives aimed at process improvement and enhance team efficiency, quality, and performance.

• Support the execution of partnership studies on the Clinical SuperHighway.

• Develop, validate, and maintain project plans and schedules.

• Facilitate team planning sessions, create team charters, define project scope, and ensure alignment across global cross-functional teams.

• Assist partnership program leadership in setting goals and operational KPIs.

• Plan, track, and manage milestones, goals, KPIs, budgets, dependencies, and critical paths.

• Implement practices for project and risk management.

• Liaise with both internal and external collaborators.

• Lead process improvement initiatives, including headcount and budget planning, budget change control, dashboards, reports, and risk management.

• Provide alliance management for drug development partners.

• Consult with the Advisory Committee and integrate relevant insights into strategy and execution.

• Monitor project status, goals, operational KPIs, and quality KPIs.

• Ensure the appropriate systems and technologies are deployed and integrated with Global R&D.

• Promote global collaboration and consistency throughout the organization.

• Organize, coordinate, and facilitate core team meetings.

• Translate competitor movements and market intelligence into actionable strategies.

• Engage in discussions regarding company-wide standards, including finalization and implementation.

• Manage the governance process of the partnership program.

• Undertake other duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Master’s degree is required; a PhD is preferred.

• Over 10 years of experience in drug development or commercial roles in academia, consulting, or the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industries.

• More than 5 years in leadership positions within a multicultural and international (global) portfolio environment is advantageous.

• Strong knowledge and expertise in managing large and complex global portfolios and programs.

• Good understanding of global clinical trial expertise and industry best practices.

• Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to foster and maintain positive relationships across the organization.

• PMP certification is a plus.

• Experience in Oncology/Hematology drug development is preferred.

• Proficient in both written and verbal English.

• Proven ability to exercise sound judgment and make informed decisions.

• Capability to quickly evaluate problems/situations and provide effective resolutions or solutions.

• Detail-oriented while still maintaining a focus on the overall picture.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally, up to 20%.
