This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
• Act as the strategic leader and complete P&L owner for the Fresh Grocery category, which includes Produce, Meat, and Seafood.
• Propel growth, profitability, and comprehensive execution of the fresh grocery sector.
• Oversee gross sales, margin contribution, shrink reduction, and corporate net profitability objectives.
• Manage vendor relationships, contract negotiations, vendor performance, quality compliance, and COGS.
• Coordinate with Merchandising, Field Operations, Supply Chain, Pricing, and Marketing to establish scalable farm-to-shelf processes.
• Create regional and localized product assortments driven by customer demand, dietary trends, and seasonal availability.
• Take ownership of pricing strategies and promotional schedules.
• Set and maintain quality standards, transit flows, and cold-chain integrity.
• Develop visual merchandising directives, planograms, and display standards for both in-store and e-commerce experiences.
• Establish training programs and labor metrics for store-level fresh preparation, handling, and rotation.
• Over 8 years of progressive leadership experience in grocery retail or fresh food operations.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience managing high-volume Fresh categories, including Produce, Meat, and/or Seafood.
• Significant expertise in direct vendor management, supplier diversification, strategic contract negotiation, and SLA enforcement.
• Demonstrated capability in managing full P&L performance for a complex fresh business line.
• Proven success in navigating matrixed corporate environments and aligning Merchandising, Logistics, and Field Operations.
• Strong understanding of perishable supply chain networks, cold-chain logistics, food safety/USDA regulations, and agricultural/livestock commodity markets.
• Ability to analyze category data, customer loyalty insights, and operational metrics to formulate actionable strategies.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Agribusiness, or a related field is required.
• An MBA or equivalent advanced degree is preferred.
