Senior Director of Engineering

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Lead the Talent Engineering team, consisting of over 50 engineers and managers involved in customer-related products.

• Make informed trade-offs among customer requirements, product priorities, and engineering investments.

• Mentor and cultivate engineering managers and senior leaders throughout Lattice Engineering.

• Elevate standards for leadership, execution, and organizational well-being.

• Guarantee a pleasant and dependable customer experience while facilitating swift product development.

• Collaborate with Product and Design teams to outline, plan, and prioritize the product strategy and roadmap.

• Act as a representative for Lattice in discussions with key prospects and customers.

• Work together with the wider Engineering leadership team on overarching departmental strategies and objectives.

• Enhance systems, processes, and organizational practices to foster efficient planning, reliable delivery, and quick learning.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in engineering management.

• A minimum of 5 years leading an engineering organization with multiple teams and layers of leadership.

• Proven experience in managing engineering investments across a product portfolio, making deliberate trade-offs when resources are limited.

• A track record of delivering high-quality products where quality, trust, reliability, and scalability are critical to customer success.

• A high level of autonomy, ownership, and sound judgment, capable of operating with a CEO mindset.

• Established ability to nurture engineering leaders, including both individual contributors and managers.

• Capability to work cross-functionally to successfully deliver exceptional products.

• Excellent communication skills and executive presence, with the ability to influence decisions across Engineering, Product, Design, and company leadership.

• A keen interest in AI and its potential to enhance organizational development of personnel.
