Senior Director of Construction – General Construction

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.

📋 Description

• Manage all stages of residential renovations and new construction across a geographically varied portfolio.

• Act as a reliable partner to executive leadership while providing strategic guidance.

• Stay actively involved in field operations and daily execution.

• Direct project planning and contractor oversight.

• Facilitate cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder engagement.

• Ensure that work is in alignment with the organization’s vision, operational objectives, and long-term asset strategy.

• Oversee high-end residential projects, property portfolios, budgets, forecasts, and contracts.

• Travel across the U.S. as necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 15 years of progressive experience in construction, real estate development, or related areas.

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, business, real estate, architecture, or a related field.

• Extensive practical field experience with comprehensive knowledge of construction processes and methodologies.

• Proven track record in managing high-end residential projects, including both renovations and new construction.

• Demonstrated ability to oversee multiple projects and coordinate cross-functional teams.

• Experience in managing property portfolios with an emphasis on long-term operational implications.

• Strong financial skills, including budgeting, forecasting, and contract management.

• Proficiency in tools such as Procore, Bluebeam, Matterport, or similar platforms.

• Strategic leadership capabilities with a fiduciary perspective and strong decision-making skills.

• Expertise in contract negotiation and vendor management across diverse markets.

• Ability to foresee challenges, resolve conflicts, and guide teams through intricate projects.

• Excellent communication skills, capable of simplifying complex issues for varied audiences.

• High level of organizational awareness and the ability to navigate multi-layered environments.
