This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +1 more state.
• Act as LMI’s senior executive and accountable owner of the portfolio, overseeing programs, projects, personnel, and growth initiatives that support Naval Special Warfare.
• Lead the implementation of ongoing NSW programs in accordance with schedule, technical, contractual, security, and quality standards.
• Take ownership of customer satisfaction and mission outcomes within the NSW portfolio.
• Cultivate and maintain relationships with NSW headquarters, operational units, requirements organizations, program offices, acquisition personnel, test organizations, technical leaders, and mission partners.
• Formulate and execute a comprehensive NSW portfolio strategy along with an annual operating plan.
• Translate mission requirements into actionable roadmaps encompassing robotics and autonomous systems, uncrewed systems, command and control, mission software, data, AI, experimentation, training, fielding, and sustainment.
• Lead distributed teams of program managers, technical leads, site personnel, engineers, operators, product teams, subcontractors, and corporate functions.
• Establish governance for the portfolio, including decision rights, operating rhythms, performance metrics, and accountability mechanisms.
• Manage workforce planning, staffing, recruiting, onboarding, performance management, professional development, succession planning, retention, and team culture.
• Mentor and nurture emerging leaders.
• Oversee the technical and operational integration of LMI, government, commercial, and partner capabilities.
• Plan and supervise demonstrations, experiments, exercises, test events, fielding, training, and operational assessments.
• Provide decision-ready reports to NSW and LMI leadership.
• Identify customer requirements and drive account growth, capture, solution development, proposals, staffing strategies, and partnerships.
• Build strategic relationships with technology firms, manufacturers, research entities, and mission partners.
• Coordinate efforts among product, engineering, autonomy, software, data, operations, contracts, talent, security, and growth leaders.
• Ensure adherence to contract obligations, security policies, cybersecurity standards, export controls, property accountability, safety requirements, and LMI governance.
• Represent LMI during high-level customer engagements, industry events, demonstrations, and relevant forums.
• A current Top-Secret security clearance.
• A Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, cybersecurity, business, program management, operations, or a related field; alternatively, four additional years of relevant experience may replace the degree requirement.
• At least fifteen years of progressively responsible experience in leading complex Department of Defense, national security, technology, or mission-support programs.
• A minimum of ten years of direct experience in support of Special Operations Forces.
• Proven experience managing a multi-program or multi-project portfolio with accountability for delivery, customer relationships, personnel, risk, and growth.
• Capability to lead geographically distributed, cross-functional teams.
• Recent experience supporting NSW organizations located at Coronado, California; Little Creek, Virginia; or other NSW operating sites.
• Prior military experience within Naval Special Warfare, Joint Special Operations Command, a Special Operations communications or mission-systems organization, or another directly relevant SOF assignment.
• Direct experience with the integration of robotics, autonomous systems, uncrewed systems, tactical communications, command and control, ISR, electronic warfare, data platforms, or mission software.
• Experience in translating complex mission requirements into cohesive technical and operational solutions.
• Working knowledge of robotics and autonomous systems, uncrewed systems, mission command and control, communications, mission software, data integration, artificial intelligence, test and evaluation, fielding, training, or sustainment.
• Strong skills in program and portfolio management, including scheduling, performance, staffing, subcontractor oversight, risk management, quality assurance, and executive reporting.
• Experience in federal-market business development, capture, proposal development, solutioning, pricing, teaming, or organic account growth.
• Familiarity with Department of Defense acquisition, contracting, security, cybersecurity, requirements, test, and operational approval processes.
• Exceptional communication, interpersonal, negotiation, and executive briefing abilities.
• Willingness to travel regularly to NSW commands, supported units, test locations, demonstrations, and other mission sites.
