Senior Director, Global Operations Improvement

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Drive priority enhancements within Operations through the implementation of measurable and sustainable outcomes.

• Collaborate directly with plants and functions to pinpoint performance deficiencies, comprehend issues, identify root causes, and apply practical solutions.

• Allocate improvement, plant, functional, technical, and systems resources to address key challenges.

• Spearhead larger initiatives across plants, functions, or regions.

• Establish uniform processes and standards, ensuring that improvements are implemented, documented, measured, sustained, and replicated.

• Lead the Operations improvement organization, which includes the Operational Excellence and Operations Systems teams.

• Develop improvement and problem-solving capabilities through methods, training, coaching, and hands-on assistance.

• Disseminate and scale successful improvements, documented standards, and insights gained.

• Align Operations Systems priorities with Operations and process enhancement requirements.

• Act as a liaison with IT, translating business and process requirements into system specifications and solutions.

• Propel system upgrades, integration, automation, and technological advancements.

• Collaborate with IT and Operations teams throughout the implementation and adoption phases.

• Report to the Corporate Vice President, Global Operations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree is mandatory; advanced degree is preferred.

• A minimum of 12 years of progressive experience in Operations, process improvement, or a related field, including leadership roles.

• Proven experience in leading teams and significant cross-functional improvement initiatives across multiple sites or functions.

• Strong background in Operations with a demonstrated history of driving substantial improvements and maintaining results.

• Experience in leading intricate improvement initiatives across various plants, functions, or regions.

• Comprehensive understanding of structured problem-solving and improvement methodologies, including Lean, Six Sigma, Operational Excellence, or equivalent approaches.

• Familiarity with utilizing systems, automation, and technology to enhance processes and performance.

• Excellent leadership, problem-solving, communication skills, and the ability to influence across various functions.

• Experience in the medical device, pharmaceutical, or similar regulated manufacturing industries is preferred.

• Lean/Six Sigma or equivalent certification is preferred.
