This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee a remote Cyber Consulting Services team that encompasses Information Security Governance, Cybersecurity Architecture, and Offensive Security.
• Accelerate business growth beyond the cybersecurity services market while ensuring gross profit, margin, utilization, delivery quality, and client satisfaction are upheld.
• Manage operational performance concerning revenue, gross profit/margin, utilization, backlog, capacity, project economics, delivery forecasting, and engagement health.
• Develop workforce strategies that balance FTE capacity, skill sets, backlog, utilization, anticipated demand, and consulting economics.
• Enhance revenue from internally delivered services by developing FTE capabilities and strategically employing subcontractors.
• Lead the strategy for subcontractor and third-party delivery, focusing on partner selection, economic viability, quality, capacity, and performance metrics.
• Mentor, develop, and hold accountable managers across various cybersecurity domains.
• Take charge of succession planning, leadership development, performance evaluations, hiring strategies, career progression, and employee retention.
• Create systems for resource forecasting, engagement governance, project assessments, quality control, utilization management, and delivery escalations.
• Maintain executive oversight of significant engagements and intervene as necessary when delivery quality, project economics, client satisfaction, or contractual obligations are at risk.
• Innovate, adapt, and phase out consulting services based on demand, performance metrics, market shifts, technical advancements, and scalability considerations.
• Define and refine consulting methodologies, delivery standards, costing models, level-of-effort frameworks, and repeatable engagement templates.
• Challenge Principal-level consultants and practice leaders regarding technical direction, methodologies, service relevance, delivery quality, and capability enhancement.
• Collaborate with Client Success Management, Sales, and pre-sales teams on strategic initiatives, capacity planning, client requirements, and technical sales support.
• Develop technical resources for Sales and pre-sales teams to identify, position, and assess cybersecurity consulting opportunities.
• Engage with CISOs, CIOs, CTOs, and other senior executives during strategic collaborations, escalations, briefings, and sponsorship efforts.
• Foster collaboration across governance, architecture, and offensive security teams to deliver integrated consulting services.
• Willingness to travel up to 30% for client meetings and internal gatherings.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience and/or military background.
• A minimum of 12–15 years of cybersecurity expertise with progressively increasing leadership roles.
• Extensive leadership experience within cybersecurity consulting, advisory, professional services, or a similar client-facing security organization.
• Proven track record of managing both managers and senior individual contributors in geographically dispersed teams exceeding 20 personnel.
• Experience leading a multidisciplinary cybersecurity organization, including governance, security architecture, offensive security, or related consulting fields.
• Financial accountability for revenue, margins, utilization, capacity, and project economics.
• Familiarity with fixed-fee, T&M, retainer, or similar professional services models.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with Sales and pre-sales teams while maintaining a vendor-neutral consulting stance.
• Solid understanding of SOX, AICPA SOC Reporting Standards, ISO27001, PCI, NIST, HIPAA, and related frameworks.
• Proven experience in developing workforce strategies and managing subcontractors or third-party delivery resources.
• Direct experience working with senior client executives and acting as an escalation point or executive sponsor.
• Strong grasp of cybersecurity consulting across GRC, security architecture, offensive security, application security, and cloud security.
• Technical expertise to challenge Principal Consultants regarding methodologies, technical strategies, service design, delivery quality, and emerging needs.
• Ability to convert consulting demand and backlog into hiring, development, subcontractor, and capacity decisions.
• Experience in building repeatable consulting services, encompassing methodologies, scope, level-of-effort assessments, costing, staffing models, and delivery standards.
• Experience functioning within a remote or geographically distributed delivery organization.
• Willingness to travel up to 30% for client engagements and internal meetings.
• Preferred: Expertise in AI Security consulting, service portfolio development, Sales/pre-sales enablement, public speaking, CISSP/CISM/CISA or equivalent certifications, and military leadership or cybersecurity experience.
