Security Engineer IV

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design and oversee the complete delivery of intricate security initiatives, including AI/LLM security programs, across various domains.

• Facilitate design reviews and establish the technical direction for the designated area.

• Provide mentorship to junior and mid-level security engineers.

• Direct investigations into intricate incidents and conduct root-cause analysis within the specified domain.

• Manage security review processes for AI vendor tools and APIs, including Gemini and Vertex AI.

• Contribute to and help uphold compliance-audit and risk-assessment standards for the team.

• Engage in the on-call/escalation rotation for security incidents.

• Establish technical direction for complex, cross-cutting security initiatives.

• Lead investigations for high-impact incidents.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.

• 6–9 years of experience in the security domain, with significant ownership of projects.

• 4–6 years of practical experience in architecting security controls and leading risk assessments.

• At least 1 year of informal mentoring of engineers or leading design reviews.

• Advanced knowledge in compliance regulations, IT risk management, and GRC.

• Capability to independently design security controls and audit processes for new domains.

• Extensive experience in cloud security architecture.

• Competence in independently investigating complex incidents, including intrusions, fraud, and leaks.

• Profound understanding of AI security threat models.

• Ability to independently create security review processes for AI vendor tools/APIs and manage access controls for agentic AI tools.

• Capacity to mentor mid-level and junior security engineers.

• Proficient in presenting technical work to cross-functional groups of 5–10 individuals.

• Preferred: advanced security certification (CISSP, CISM, or similar).

• Preferred: extensive experience securing AI vendor tools/APIs, including Gemini and Vertex AI, within a regulated environment.
