This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +23 more states.
• Oversee the entire M&A lifecycle, encompassing market analysis, target identification, outreach, valuation, due diligence, negotiation, and the closing of acquisitions and divestitures.
• Develop and sustain a pipeline of opportunities within the broadband, fiber, wireless, and related infrastructure sectors.
• Create financial models, conduct valuation analyses, and engage in scenario planning to guide investment and capital allocation decisions.
• Coordinate cross-functional diligence teams across Finance, Legal, HR, Operations, Technology, and Regulatory departments.
• Structure transactions, negotiate terms, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements alongside the Legal team.
• Prepare materials suitable for executives, including the CEO, CFO, Board of Directors, and investment committees.
• Analyze industry trends, competitive dynamics, and regulatory changes to shape long-term strategic objectives.
• Assess build-versus-buy decisions, partnership opportunities, strategic monetization initiatives, and capital allocation considerations.
• Assist in strategic planning for market expansion, product diversification, and operational synergies.
• Benchmark the performance of corporate and private-equity-backed telecom operators.
• Manage post-close integration planning and execution, focusing on people, systems, processes, and cultural alignment.
• Design integration roadmaps, set synergy targets, and develop change-management plans in collaboration with HR and Operations.
• Monitor integration KPIs and ensure accountability for value realization.
• Provide strategic growth initiative advice to senior leadership.
• Cultivate relationships with field operations, finance, legal, HR, engineering, and technology teams.
• Represent Corporate Development in executive forums, Board meetings, and discussions with external partners.
• Manage confidentiality agreements, Letters of Intent (LOIs), purchase agreements, and regulatory submissions alongside the General Counsel.
• Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local telecom regulations.
• Maintain documentation, reporting, and governance practices that align with public-company standards.
• A Bachelor’s degree is required.
• An MBA, JD, or related advanced degree is highly preferred.
• A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in corporate development, investment banking, private equity, investor relations, or strategic roles.
• Proven track record of successfully executing M&A transactions in telecom, broadband, fiber, wireless, or adjacent infrastructure industries.
• Experience in both corporate and private-equity settings is preferred.
• Expertise in financial modeling, valuation, and deal structuring.
• Strong understanding of telecom economics, network operations, and regulatory frameworks.
• Capability to lead complex cross-functional initiatives with limited supervision.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and executive-level presentation skills.
• High level of business judgment, discretion, and integrity.
• Must successfully pass background checks, drug screening, and reference checks.
