Senior Director, AI Transformation – Operations

📋 Description

• Act as the central operational force of the ELEC AI Center of Excellence

• Convert the enterprise-wide AI strategy into actionable execution across four business lines

• Support the implementation of long-term AI strategy plans by providing necessary resources

• Establish consistent reviews, track progress, and create feedback loops for AI project delivery

• Spearhead the development of shared standards, tools, platforms, and governance frameworks

• Balance quick delivery with high-quality, dependable outcomes through defined workflows

• Integrate Responsible AI and security measures into operational processes

• Manage the AI portfolio and ensure alignment of initiatives with ELEC's enterprise priorities

• Steer the transition towards a sustainable, business-led AI delivery model for 2030

• Direct workforce upskilling and AI adoption initiatives in collaboration with ELEC HR, GE Vernova Corporate Learning, the ELEC CTO office, and Business Line AI teams

• Create and modify targeted training programs and specialized AI enablement efforts

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline

• Extensive and proven leadership experience in operations, program management, or technical strategy, preferably within a large, global matrix organization

• Strong understanding of the AI/ML landscape and the entire lifecycle of AI solutions, from data preparation to production and monitoring

• Demonstrated success in leading significant organizational transformations and maintaining engagement across varied teams

• Exceptional capability in building, managing, and optimizing business operating rhythms, tracking metrics, managing budgets, and sustaining project momentum

• Proven expertise in bridging technical teams and business stakeholders

• Ability to convert technical requirements into business value and vice versa

• Strong history of collaboration with HR and Learning & Development functions to design curriculum or enablement programs

• Insight into upskilling as a behavioral change, rather than just classroom instruction

• Skill in achieving alignment across various business lines without direct line authority

• Pragmatic perspective on compliance and ethics, incorporating guardrails into development processes
