Senior Director, Ad Tech Engineering

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Oversee, direct, and expand multiple teams of software engineers with a focus on product development.

• Define the long-term technical vision and architectural guidelines for enterprise platforms.

• Collaborate with senior engineering and business executives to synchronize product roadmaps with scalable technology capabilities.

• Drive talent management strategies, including succession planning, skill enhancement, and equitable opportunities.

• Provide mentorship and direction for the professional and technical growth of engineers.

• Collaborate with product managers to outline application functionalities, testing scenarios, and user experiences.

• Continuously enhance software engineering methodologies.

• Design, develop, test, implement, and maintain full-stack technical solutions across Agile teams.

• Ensure the quality, availability, resilience, and scalability of solutions.

• Keep abreast of technology trends, experiment with emerging technologies, and engage in technology communities.

• Promote innovation, inclusion, teamwork, self-organization, and diversity.

• Enhance engineering speed across the organization.

• Lead the deployment of both new and existing applications in AWS environments.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science or a related quantitative field.

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in people management.

• At least 9 years of experience in software engineering and solution architecture.

• A minimum of 9 years of experience in enterprise architecture and design patterns.

• At least 9 years of experience in cloud computing (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud).

• A minimum of 9 years of experience in data architecture.

• Preferred: Master’s Degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering.

• Preferred: 12+ years of experience in software engineering and solution architecture.

• Preferred: 12+ years of experience in enterprise architecture and design patterns.

• Preferred: 12+ years of experience in web technologies (JavaScript, TypeScript, and SPA frameworks).

• Preferred: 12+ years of experience in designing and building distributed HPC and ML systems.

• Preferred: 12+ years of experience in cloud computing (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud).

• Preferred: 12+ years of experience in data architecture.

• Preferred: 12+ years of professional coding experience in Go, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Rust, C#, or Scala.

• Preferred: 10+ years of experience with databases and database management systems.

• Preferred: 12+ years of professional experience throughout the entire system development lifecycle.

• Preferred: 7+ years of experience with public cloud platforms, cloud-based productivity tools, or virtualization technologies.

• Preferred: 12+ years of experience with networking protocols and integration of third-party distributed systems.

• Preferred: 7+ years of experience mentoring senior engineers and facilitating their professional growth.

• Preferred: 3+ years of experience leading cross-domain architectural reviews or establishing coding and design standards.

• Expertise in the strategic use of agentic AI coding tools.
