Senior DevSecOps Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Develop and sustain secure CI/CD pipelines that incorporate security testing and controls.

• Enhance application and cloud-native security within Kubernetes and containerized settings.

• Recognize risks and execute effective security measures alongside development teams.

• Convert security prerequisites into guardrails, standards, and solutions for AI/ML, MLOps, and Data Science teams.

• Consistently identify and evaluate vulnerabilities while assisting in prioritization.

• Work collaboratively with application teams on mitigating and remedying vulnerabilities.

• Participate in security testing, deployment, and monitoring.

• Provide guidance to teams on emerging security challenges.

• Investigate tools and automation options to enhance application security.

⛳️ Requirements

• Significant hands-on experience as a DevSecOps / Application Security Engineer.

• Senior or staff-level technical expertise and self-sufficiency.

• Proficient in securing applications and software development in cloud-native and Kubernetes environments.

• Practical experience with CI/CD security and tools such as GitHub, GitLab, or similar.

• Background in automating security guardrails, testing, and checks within development pipelines.

• Proficient knowledge in application and cloud-native security.

• Experience with Kubernetes/container security.

• Familiarity with vulnerability management and CVE processes.

• Experience in security scanning, triage/prioritization, and remediation workflows.

• A shift-left mindset and capability to collaborate closely with developers.

• Experience with Python and Data & AI/ML environments is advantageous.
