Senior Cloud & DevOps Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Define technical requirements and create effective solutions

• Provide guidance to clients regarding technical choices and matters related to cloud and DevOps

• Evaluate current IT environments, architectures, and technical specifications

• Develop and enhance sophisticated cloud platforms, emphasizing Kubernetes in private-cloud settings and selected public-cloud providers

• Establish and improve CI/CD pipelines for building, testing, and release processes

• Design and implement Infrastructure as Code and configuration management strategies

• Mentor team members on topics related to cloud and platform

• Contribute actively to internal ARES initiatives

• Execute solutions directly in client engagements

⛳️ Requirements

• Completed degree or vocational training in a field related to IT

• Several years of experience with cloud-native technologies and platform engineering, especially in private-cloud or hybrid settings

• Extensive knowledge of public-cloud platforms, including AWS, Azure, GCP, and STACKIT

• Relevant experience in a DevOps context

• Capability to advise clients on technical matters and articulate complex technical concepts with clarity

• Project experience in the public sector or within KRITIS-regulated environments

• Background in IT security

• Self-reliant, client-focused, and possessing strong communication abilities, along with a collaborative attitude

• Eagerness to rapidly learn new subjects and embrace responsibility

• Willingness to travel within Germany, averaging no more than 3 days each month

• Proficient in both German and English

• Readiness to undergo a security screening (SÜ1 or SÜ2) as per the German Security Clearance Act (SÜG)
