Senior DevOps Engineer – LATAM

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Develop and manage the self-service infrastructure platform.

• Create and maintain golden paths for engineers and agents, which include a unified CI/CD process, GitOps delivery utilizing ArgoCD, a catalog for Infrastructure as Code modules, and service scaffolding.

• Facilitate infrastructure provisioning and software delivery within defined guardrails, eliminating the need for manual Terraform/Kustomize authoring or ticket-based waiting periods.

• Generalize agent isolation into reusable platform primitives, such as a sandboxed runtime, workload identity, audit trails, and approval gates.

• Build and manage validation and quality-gate platforms that include ephemeral pull-request environments and automatic teardown capabilities.

• Implement and uphold security, performance, load-testing, and other validation gates.

• Ensure gates are fast and reliable, and encourage services to utilize them.

• Make gate and test results machine-readable and accessible outside of the pull-request workflow.

• Develop dashboards and operational controls for monitoring gate pass rates, approval rates, self-service ratios, failure modes, cost attribution, and DORA metrics.

• Assume on-call responsibilities for the platforms you manage.

• Manage incidents from detection through resolution, transforming recurring toil into automation and reusable runbooks.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive senior-level experience in SRE, DevOps, or Platform Engineering.

• Proven experience in building and managing production infrastructure at scale.

• Capability to independently oversee a significant workstream from start to finish with minimal supervision.

• Proficient and active use of AI development tools, such as Claude Code and Codex, in infrastructure workflows.

• In-depth knowledge of Kubernetes (EKS) and AWS services, including IAM, VPC, ECR, SSM/Secrets Manager, S3, SQS, Lambda, and RDS/Aurora.

• Strong experience in Infrastructure as Code, particularly with Terraform.

• Familiarity with GitOps practices, including PR-driven apply workflows using Atlantis or similar tools and ArgoCD.

• Expertise in CI/CD with GitHub Actions, emphasizing caching/parallelism, artifact management, test reliability, and pipeline observability.

• Comprehensive incident ownership experience, including on-call responsibilities for the systems developed and managing incidents from detection through resolution.

• Excellent cross-team communication skills, with the ability to convey platform constraints in a developer-friendly manner through solutions and documentation.

• Experience with identity, access, and policy-as-code is advantageous.

• Experience in creating self-service developer platforms, ephemeral environments, CLIs, scaffolding tools, or internal developer portals is a plus.

• Knowledge of cost management related to cost attribution, budgeting, or rightsizing is a bonus.
