Senior DevSecOps Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Develop and uphold secure CI/CD pipelines that incorporate security testing and controls.

• Facilitate efficient and secure operations for engineering teams.

• Enhance the security of applications and cloud-native systems within Kubernetes and containerized environments.

• Recognize risks and collaborate with development teams to implement effective security controls.

• Convert security requirements into guidelines, standards, and solutions for AI/ML, MLOps, and Data Science teams.

• Proactively identify and evaluate vulnerabilities.

• Assist in vulnerability prioritization and work with application teams on mitigation and remediation efforts.

• Contribute to security testing, deployment, and observability practices.

• Provide guidance to teams on emerging security challenges.

• Investigate tools and automation techniques to enhance application security.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive hands-on experience in a DevSecOps or Application Security Engineer role.

• Senior/Staff-level technical expertise and the ability to work independently.

• Proficient in securing applications and software development in cloud-native and Kubernetes settings.

• Practical experience with CI/CD security and tools such as GitHub, GitLab, or similar platforms.

• Skilled in automating security guardrails, testing, and checks within development pipelines.

• In-depth knowledge of application and cloud-native security.

• Experience in Kubernetes and container security.

• Background in vulnerability management and CVE processes.

• Familiarity with security scanning, triage/prioritization, and remediation workflows.

• Shift-left mindset with experience collaborating closely with developers.

• Proficiency in Python and familiarity with Data & AI/ML environments is an advantage.
