This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Develop and manage high-performance, dependable CI/CD pipelines.
• Take ownership of multi-cloud deployment consistency across SaaS, VPC, and on-premises environments utilizing GCP, AWS, and Azure.
• Establish and uphold infrastructure and deployment standards to prevent environment drift.
• Implement and enhance monitoring, logging, and alerting systems for platform health, performance, and SLOs.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration through infrastructure-as-code methods.
• Design and sustain application security, backup, and disaster recovery protocols.
• Collaborate with developers to enhance application performance, reliability, and operability.
• Engage in incident response, on-call rotations, root cause analysis, and remediation efforts.
• Maintain documentation for infrastructure, deployment processes, and runbooks.
• Assist QA by facilitating automated testing within pipelines and ensuring stable testing environments.
• Advocate for best practices regarding code quality, security, and deployment standards.
• Over 5 years of experience managing production cloud infrastructure, ideally in multi-cloud settings.
• Extensive background with CI/CD systems and pipeline design, including GitLab CI or GitHub Actions.
• Significant production experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration.
• Practical experience with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Proficient with Docker and essential containerization principles.
• Experience in implementing and managing observability stacks that include metrics, logs, and traces.
• Understanding of web application deployment, scaling, and reliability principles.
• Proficient in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or similar.
• Experience with integrating automated tests into deployment workflows.
• Strong analytical and debugging capabilities, particularly in distributed systems.
• Clear and concise communication skills and a collaborative working approach.
• Preferred: knowledge of database administration and backup/recovery strategies.
• Preferred: familiarity with cloud-native and multi-tenant application security best practices.
• Preferred: experience in performance testing, capacity planning, and cost optimization.
• Preferred: understanding of networking, load balancing, and traffic routing.
• Preferred: exposure to AI/ML, HPC, or data- and compute-intensive workloads.
• Preferred: contributions to DevOps/platform tooling or open-source automation initiatives.
