Senior DevOps – Platform Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Engage in discovery, migration design, automation, pilot migration, migration phases, cutover, validation, rollback, and stabilization tasks.

• Plan and implement migrations for GitHub Enterprise and GitHub Organizations.

• Transition GitHub repositories, workflows, runners, permissions, environments, variables, and secrets.

• Assist in the migration and reconfiguration of GitHub Actions and related CI/CD systems.

• Move and verify GitHub Apps, webhooks, OAuth integrations, and OIDC settings.

• Develop automation for migration tasks using scripting and Infrastructure as Code.

• Provide support for AWS cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes/EKS, Jenkins, and related platform integrations.

• Diagnose migration issues and maintain platform stability during and after the migration process.

• Work collaboratively with engineering teams to ensure effective execution and validation of migrations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in DevOps or Platform Engineering, with a strong focus on GitHub and CI/CD.

• Extensive hands-on experience in administering GitHub Enterprise and GitHub Organizations.

• Demonstrated experience in migrating GitHub repositories, ideally at an enterprise level.

• Advanced practical knowledge of GitHub Actions.

• Experience in migrating and reconfiguring GitHub runners and workflows.

• Familiarity with GitHub permissions, environments, variables, and secrets.

• Competence in OIDC configuration.

• Knowledge of GitHub Apps, webhooks, and OAuth integrations.

• Strong proficiency in Terraform.

• Experience in CI/CD architecture and migration processes.

• Familiarity with Kubernetes, AWS EKS, and AWS infrastructure.

• Experience with Jenkins.

• Strong scripting and automation skills using Python, Bash, or similar technologies.

• Previous involvement in discovery, migration design, automation, pilot migration, migration phases, cutover, validation, rollback, and stabilization tasks.

• Nice to have: experience with migration projects containing hundreds or thousands of repositories.

• Nice to have: exposure to GitOps and FluxCD.

• Nice to have: familiarity with AWS CodeBuild.

• Nice to have: experience with Git submodules and complex repository dependencies.

• Nice to have: knowledge of SSO/identity migration and related tools.
