Senior DevOps Engineer, Java Software Development

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Utilize your DevOps skills in hands-on customer projects.

• Assist clients throughout the complete development lifecycle.

• Automate the build, testing, and deployment processes.

• Implement Infrastructure-as-Code tools for infrastructure management automation.

• Continuously monitor and optimize both on-premises and cloud infrastructures.

• Oversee alerting, monitoring, and tracing activities.

• Work collaboratively with developers and testers in agile, cross-functional teams using Scrum or Kanban methodologies.

• Ensure the uninterrupted functioning of developed applications.

• Convey the operational viewpoint to the development team, Product Owners, and other project stakeholders.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of three years of experience in DevOps, coupled with prior software development experience.

• A degree in IT or a similar qualification along with relevant professional experience.

• Proficiency in Java, Kubernetes, Terraform, Ansible, GitLab, Linux, Docker, and SRE.

• Strong knowledge in establishing CI/CD pipelines.

• Experience in developing and deploying Java and web applications.

• Familiarity with microservice architectures and API design (REST, messaging).

• Basic understanding of network infrastructures (routing, load balancing, DNS).

• Experience in working within agile, cross-functional teams is advantageous.

• Excellent communication skills with a collaborative approach towards colleagues and clients.

• Passion for consulting.

• Proficient in German.

• Good command of English.
