Senior DevOps Engineer, Infrastructure

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Serbia.

📋 Description

• Oversee the DevOps and Infrastructure teams.

• Enhance and sustain the technical infrastructure that supports the development, deployment, and operations of Smartcat.

• Guarantee the availability, scalability, and reliability of both staging and production environments.

• Establish and uphold best practices in SRE and DevOps.

• Apply stringent CI/CD testing and reviews to mitigate production issues related to releases.

• Achieve and maintain a 99.9% availability rate for the staging infrastructure.

• Develop resilient systems and implement disaster recovery plans to ensure 99.99% product availability and near-perfect uptime.

• Expedite CI/CD pipeline processes and environments to reduce lead time.

• Build and oversee an engineering team across multiple regions and time zones.

• Enhance hiring processes while providing technical mentorship, coaching, and opportunities for career growth.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a leadership role within a rapidly expanding multinational IT company.

• At least 5 years of expertise in DevOps and SRE, managing high-RPS distributed products.

• Proficient in making data-driven decisions based on concrete metrics.

• Ability to cultivate relationships with adjacent teams and uphold collaborative agreements.

• Significant hands-on experience in constructing complex CI/CD pipelines.

• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) implementation.

• Experience in executing various deployment strategies.

• Knowledge of establishing secure development environments.

• Practical background in developing and maintaining large-scale cloud applications.

• Proficient with cloud services such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.

• Familiarity with technologies including .NET Core, MongoDB, Vue 2/3, Kafka, Elasticsearch, GitLab CI, Prometheus, VictoriaMetrics, Jaeger, and Kubernetes.
