Senior DevOps Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Design, construct, and sustain shared Azure platform services utilized across all product families.

• Create reusable Terraform modules, manage state, evaluate plans, and facilitate safe infrastructure changes through various environments.

• Integrate product and engineering teams onto platform services, assess designs, resolve integration challenges, and document self-service methodologies.

• Develop and oversee Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure, application deployments, and Databricks assets.

• Manage Application Gateway, WAF configuration, and Traffic Manager profiles for multi-region routing and failover capabilities.

• Oversee Entra ID app registrations, OAuth 2.0/OIDC flows, service principals, managed identities, and RBAC.

• Configure and maintain Azure AD B2C, incorporating custom SSO XML policies and integrations for product teams.

• Operate API Management, including API/product configuration, policy creation, version control, and Terraform/pipeline deployments.

• Manage Azure Service Bus namespaces, queues, topics, subscriptions, filters, and access policies as code.

• Support MLOps deployment requirements across Azure AI Foundry, Databricks, and model-serving workloads.

• Deploy and configure Azure AI Foundry projects, model deployments, and endpoints using Terraform and pipelines.

• Set up and configure Databricks workspaces, Unity Catalog, clusters, access controls, and secret scopes.

• Create Databricks job and workflow deployment pipelines and promote notebooks, jobs, and DLT pipelines across environments.

• Implement AI guardrails, content safety controls, networking, private endpoints, and identity infrastructure.

• Develop repeatable, auditable deployment pipelines for models and AI services.

• Automate security, compliance, cost, and resource utilization controls.

• Monitor and continuously enhance deployment pathways.

• Establish and sustain business-oriented KPIs and reliability objectives.

• Engage in the agile process, own sprint assignments, log hours worked, and maintain up-to-date details.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive hands-on experience with Azure Web Apps / App Service, Azure Function Apps, and Azure Container Apps.

• Familiarity with deployment slots, scaling rules, VNet integration, and configuration management.

• Proficient with Application Gateway and WAF, including rewrite rules, path-based routing, listeners, backend pools, health probes, custom WAF rules and exclusions, and TLS/certificate management.

• Experience with Traffic Manager profiles and routing methods.

• Knowledge of VNets, subnets, NSGs, route tables, hub-and-spoke architecture, Private Endpoints, and Private DNS.

• Proficient in Azure Service Bus namespaces, queues, topics, subscriptions, filters, rules, shared access policies, and permissions.

• Experience with Azure API Management configuration and policy creation.

• Hands-on expertise with Entra ID, app registrations, API permissions and consent, service principals, managed identities, OAuth 2.0, OIDC, token and claims configuration, and Azure RBAC.

• Practical knowledge of Azure AD B2C user flows and custom policies, including SSO XML policy files and SAML/OIDC federation.

• Proficient with Storage Accounts, Key Vault, Azure Cache for Redis, Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights.

• Full working command of Terraform, including reusable modules, remote state, workspaces, provider and version pinning, plan/apply review, import, and drift remediation.

• Strong CI/CD experience with Azure DevOps YAML pipelines, multi-stage deployments, environments, approvals, service connections, and variable/secret management.

• Solid scripting abilities in PowerShell and/or Bash; proficient with Azure CLI.

• Strong Git and source-control practices, including branching, pull requests, and code review.

• Proven track record of managing and optimizing infrastructure and CI/CD for an Azure-based SaaS product at scale.

• Strong understanding of security principles, least privilege, secrets management, network isolation, certificate lifecycle, and compliance controls.

• Working knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

• Strong analytical abilities and a proven history of reliability improvement.

• Experience working in an agile SDLC within a fast-paced environment.

• Ability to quickly assimilate information under pressure and demonstrate strong planning skills.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
