Senior DevOps Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Portugal.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and oversee CI/CD pipelines incorporating security measures.

• Create and sustain infrastructure utilizing Infrastructure-as-Code methodologies.

• Manage containerized environments employing Kubernetes and Docker in a production setting.

• Deploy observability tools for effective monitoring, alerting, and logging.

• Enhance cloud infrastructure to ensure scalability, performance, and cost-effectiveness.

• Automate repetitive operational processes to boost reliability and minimize downtime.

• Work collaboratively with development teams to integrate DevOps best practices throughout the stack.

• Participate in on-call rotations and incident response efforts to maintain operational stability.

• Report directly to the Principal Cloud & Security Ops Engineer.

• Provide mentorship to engineers and advocate for contemporary DevOps methodologies.

• Scale and secure Allia Health Group’s cloud infrastructure and operational frameworks.

⛳️ Requirements

• A BSc or MSc in Computer Science, Cloud Computing, or a related discipline is preferred.

• 4–7 years of experience in DevOps, InfraOps, or cloud engineering positions.

• Solid experience with Google Cloud; AWS/Azure experience is also acceptable.

• Practical knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, and container orchestration solutions.

• Proficient with IaC tools like Terraform, Ansible, or similar alternatives.

• Experience in managing CI/CD pipelines such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or comparable tools.

• Strong expertise in observability tools, including Prometheus, Grafana, and the ELK stack.

• Understanding of networking basics, load balancing, and secure configurations.

• Hands-on experience with incident response and system troubleshooting tasks.

• Willingness to adjust work hours to enhance timezone overlap with the US CST timezone.
