This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado, +7 more states.
• Design, automate, and support AWS cloud infrastructure alongside a Kubernetes-based application platform.
• Construct and sustain AWS infrastructure utilizing OpenTofu.
• Manage Kubernetes workloads on Amazon EKS.
• Oversee GitOps deployments employing Argo CD and Helm.
• Create automation and operational tools using Python and other scripting languages.
• Provide support for AWS services, including EKS, Aurora PostgreSQL, ElastiCache Redis, Amazon MQ for RabbitMQ, load balancers, IAM, VPC networking, DNS, and security groups.
• Implement monitoring solutions, dashboards, alerts, logs, metrics, and tracing through Datadog.
• Diagnose production issues and assist with incident response and root cause analysis.
• Take part in an on-call rotation and offer support for after-hours maintenance or escalations when necessary.
• Enhance CI/CD pipelines, release automation, and deployment reliability.
• Collaborate with engineering and security teams to elevate infrastructure standards, operational readiness, and cloud security.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and operational procedures.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in DevOps, Infrastructure Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering, Cloud Engineering, or a related field.
• Extensive hands-on experience with AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Production experience with Kubernetes, ideally Amazon EKS.
• Proficient in Infrastructure as Code utilizing OpenTofu, Terraform, or analogous tools.
• Familiarity with Argo CD, Helm, and GitOps-based deployment workflows.
• Strong scripting or development skills in Python.
• Production experience in supporting Aurora PostgreSQL, ElastiCache Redis, and Amazon MQ for RabbitMQ.
• Experience with Datadog or comparable observability platforms.
• Solid understanding of cloud networking, including VPCs, subnets, routing, security groups, DNS, TLS, ingress, and load balancing.
• Comfortable being part of an on-call rotation and supporting production incident response.
• Experience in supporting high-availability SaaS or customer-facing platforms.
• Knowledge of Kubernetes autoscaling, ingress controllers, cluster upgrades, and resource optimization.
• Experience with backup, restore, disaster recovery, and capacity planning.
• Understanding of AWS Well-Architected principles and cloud security best practices.
• Familiarity with GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or similar CI/CD tools.
• Experience in supporting RabbitMQ or Amazon MQ message broker platforms.
• AWS or Kubernetes certifications are a plus.
• Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, along with a willingness to mentor others.
• Legally authorized to work in the U.S. or Canada.
• Base salary range of $155K–$170K.
• Bonus eligibility.
