Senior DevOps Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ukraine.

📋 Description

• Scale and enhance a global cyber intelligence SaaS that serves top enterprises.

• Work alongside engineers and architects to promote automation and intelligent operations.

• Take ownership and lead projects that impact uptime, reliability, and efficiency.

• Spearhead the DevOps domain by establishing architecture, automation strategies, and reliability objectives for the R&D organization.

• Manage the scalability and performance of infrastructure for resilient, efficient, and cost-effective Kubernetes/EKS environments.

• Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines utilizing GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or ArgoCD.

• Promote observability and reliability initiatives by using Prometheus, Grafana, and CloudWatch.

• Set metrics, alerts, and SLOs.

• Utilize AI and automation tools for anomaly detection, alert classification, cost forecasting, monitoring, response, and efficiency.

• Oversee infrastructure as code using Terraform, Helm, and CloudFormation.

• Implement best practices for infrastructure-as-code.

• Collaborate with engineering teams on infrastructure design, enhancing developer experience, and ensuring secure deployments.

• Guarantee system uptime and production readiness through root cause analysis, incident response, and capacity planning.

• Assess emerging technologies, including AI-driven operations tools, to enhance scalability, reliability, and delivery speed.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in a DevOps / SRE / Infrastructure engineering role.

• Demonstrated expertise in managing large-scale SaaS systems on AWS, including EKS, RDS, Kafka, Redis, S3, Lambda, and CloudWatch.

• Comprehensive understanding of Kubernetes architecture and container orchestration at scale, including Karpenter.

• Practical experience with Terraform, Helm, and CI/CD automation utilizing GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or ArgoCD.

• Strong scripting capabilities in Python, Bash, or Go.

• Familiarity with monitoring and alerting tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, and ELK.

• Experience with or integration of AI-assisted tools for observability, auto-remediation, or enhancing developer productivity.

• Exceptional troubleshooting abilities and a proactive approach to reliability and performance optimization.

• Advanced proficiency in English.

• Experience in multi-environment / multi-tenant SaaS or cybersecurity / threat intelligence systems.

• Knowledge of AI/ML pipelines or AIOps concepts.

• Background in cost optimization and FinOps practices.

• Understanding of Kafka scaling, Redis clustering, and AWS service-level tuning.
