Senior DevOps Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop and deploy secure cloud infrastructure solutions utilizing AWS.

• Establish security policies and best practices for cloud-based applications.

• Work alongside development teams to incorporate security measures into the CI/CD pipeline.

• Continuously monitor systems for security vulnerabilities and perform regular security audits.

• Participate in incident response initiatives and promptly address security concerns.

• Automate security processes and manage configuration effectively.

• Implement and oversee AWS/Azure services and resources.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure adherence to security and compliance standards.

• Provide support to Koniag IT Systems and its government clientele.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field from an accredited institution.

• Over 5 years of experience in DevOps engineering with a strong emphasis on security.

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer certification.

• Proven experience in implementing security controls within cloud environments.

• In-depth knowledge of AWS services and practical experience with AWS cloud infrastructure.

• Familiarity with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.

• Proficient in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.

• Comprehension of security best practices and prevalent security threats.

• Experience with containerization technologies including Docker and Kubernetes.

• Ability to collaborate effectively in a dynamic work environment.

• Strong communication skills with the capability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
