Senior DevOps Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Manage the infrastructure for Cloud production, pre-production, and other environments.

• Ensure system availability, performance, capacity, and continuity by responding to incidents, events, and problems.

• Take part in on-call rotations and monitor Slack channels, alerts, and dashboards.

• Address requests promptly within established SLAs.

• Analyze observability data and proactively implement actions to enhance the stability and performance of the cloud environment.

• Conduct stack creations, upgrades, deployments, and support tasks for the Cloud environment.

• Adhere to Change Management, Security Compliance, and Incident Management protocols.

• Contribute to the development of Cloud Operations playbooks, runbooks, and guides.

• Carry out regular checks on monitors, backups, and business continuity (BR/DR) procedures.

• Collaborate with global teams in Cloud Operations, Product Development, and Engineering.

• Engage in projects and internal initiatives aimed at enhancing Cloud Operations services.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.

• At least 6 years of experience in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.

• Proficient in configuration management tools, DevOps and release management tools, and service container-based platforms.

• Experience with Linux and Windows administration, scripting tools, and the configuration and management of enterprise web applications.

• Familiarity with continuous integration and deployment SaaS environments.

• Strong verbal and written communication abilities, particularly with cross-functional teams.

• Over 8 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer, focusing primarily on Operations, with proven experience in Production Operations in medium to large-scale environments (preferred).

• Experience with Public Cloud platforms, preferably AWS, as well as Terraform, Git, Ansible, Packer, and Jenkins.

• Experience in building and managing Kubernetes cluster environments and supporting microservices hosted on these clusters.

• Proficient in monitoring systems, preferably Datadog, as well as database management at a system admin level, Linux Shell Scripting, and Python.

• Knowledge and experience in managing Java or similar web application environments.
