This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Design, implement, and maintain resources and services on Microsoft Azure.
• Manage and execute Infrastructure as Code practices.
• Ensure the security, scalability, and high availability of Azure environments.
• Conduct platform maintenance, upgrades, and ongoing improvements.
• Develop, manage, and enhance CI/CD pipelines.
• Automate deployment and operational workflows.
• Diagnose and resolve issues related to pipelines and deployments.
• Enhance release reliability and deployment effectiveness.
• Monitor the health, performance, and availability of the platform.
• Investigate and address production incidents.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement preventive strategies.
• Improve logging, alerting, and observability mechanisms.
• Implement best practices and policies for Azure security.
• Manage identity and access controls in compliance with governance standards.
• Ensure adherence to engineering standards and change management procedures.
• Contribute to cost optimization and efficient resource utilization.
• Collaborate with developers, DevOps engineers, and technical leaders.
• Engage in planning sessions, stand-ups, and technical discussions.
• Maintain and enhance documentation for infrastructure and processes.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of DevOps methodologies and tools.
• Report to the DevOps Team Lead.
• Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in a DevOps, Cloud, or Platform Engineering role.
• Hands-on expertise with Microsoft Azure, including App Services, networking, storage, and identity management.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Bicep, ARM, or equivalents.
• Strong background in CI/CD pipelines, preferably with Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar platforms.
• Solid understanding of cloud networking concepts, including DNS, routing, load balancing, and firewalls.
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools like Application Insights and Log Analytics.
• Capability to troubleshoot production issues across infrastructure and application layers.
• Understanding of security best practices, covering identity management, least privilege, and secure configurations.
• Familiarity with Git and modern development workflows.
• Knowledge of PowerShell, Bash, or Python is a plus.
• Experience with Azure Front Door, WAF, or CDN technologies is advantageous.
• Exposure to observability tools, such as distributed tracing and metrics platforms, is desirable.
• Experience in Azure cost management and optimization is beneficial.
• Understanding of DevOps principles and Agile delivery methodologies.
• Strong problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach.
• Ability to work independently and effectively manage priorities.
