Senior DevOps Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Romania.

📋 Description

• Design and sustain automation solutions utilizing PowerShell, Python (FastAPI), and Java.

• Create, enhance, and manage backend APIs and integrations with Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, and Microsoft Entra ID.

• Streamline identity and access management tasks, user lifecycle processes, and administrative workflows.

• Diagnose, optimize, and provide support for existing applications and services.

• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to address technical challenges.

• Promote continuous enhancement by adhering to security, quality, and operational best practices.

• Provide support for cloud-based platforms for a prominent client in the financial services industry.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, Platform Engineering, or a comparable role.

• Proficient in Python programming with a solid background in developing and maintaining production-quality automation scripts and tools.

• Extensive hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and Azure DevOps.

• Strong expertise in Docker, Kubernetes/OpenShift, and Linux environments.

• Experience in designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Workflows, and GitOps methodologies.

• Good grasp of REST APIs, authentication, and integration concepts.

• Familiarity with security best practices and platform quality standards.

• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.

• Capability to enhance existing systems and promote DevOps best practices.

• Experience with monitoring and observability tools.

• Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team.

• Customer-focused mindset with outstanding communication and collaboration skills.

• Regular utilization of AI tools to improve productivity, automate repetitive tasks, support decision-making, and deliver superior outcomes.

• Competence in using AI tools responsibly by crafting effective prompts, critically evaluating outputs, understanding limitations, and assuming responsibility for the final results.

• Proficiency in German is considered an advantage.

• Nice to have: experience in administering Microsoft 365, including Exchange Online and Microsoft Entra ID.

• Nice to have: practical experience with PowerShell scripting.

• Nice to have: knowledge of SQL and relational databases.

• Nice to have: familiarity with or understanding of banking-related processes.
