Senior Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Provide support for a DHS program that encompasses application analysis, architectural design, engineering, development, maintenance, and support.

• Execute senior-level design, coding, testing, deployment, and issue resolution across DHS platforms.

• Lead development initiatives while ensuring alignment with the Software Engineering Life Cycle (SELC).

• Design, develop, test, and maintain applications utilizing .NET, React, Angular, Oracle, SQL, AWS, and Azure technologies.

• Leverage software development expertise to tackle business challenges.

• Collaborate with analysts and clients to extract requirements for use cases and scenarios.

• Evaluate design feasibility considering time and cost limitations.

• Plan and delegate tasks when assuming a leading role.

• Identify design solutions, gather development metrics, code, debug, document, test, and build applications within the set timeline.

• Create and implement design specifications, documenting modifications and unit testing outcomes.

• Identify and collaborate with strategic and technology partners to explore product solutions.

• Design and develop functionalities that interface with SQL Server or Oracle, in coordination with the Database Administrator.

• Develop and maintain user interfaces.

• Oversee automated deployment processes and uphold best practices for SharePoint solution deployments across various environments.

• Facilitate meetings to assess the validity and urgency of product issues.

• Investigate, identify, and resolve complex coding problems reported by QA and clients via Technical Support.

• Troubleshoot and rectify application issues.

• Potentially supervise subordinate software programmers and aid in delivering high-quality products.

⛳️ Requirements

• Clearance: Public Trust.

• Bachelor's degree in an Information Technology discipline.

• At least seven (7) years of combined experience in computer programming and the analysis of complex information systems, applications, or operating system software.

• Minimum of five (5) years of experience in the specified programming languages and environment.

• Desired familiarity with Power Automate, Drupal, ServiceNow, and Databricks.

• Microsoft Certified Professional or other Microsoft certification OR ServiceNow certification.

• Must be a US Citizen.

• Ability to successfully complete a government-issued background investigation.

• Capability to obtain a Public Trust.

• Prior Public Trust or Security Clearance is preferred.

• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.

• Demonstrated experience in mentoring developers, conducting peer code reviews, and enhancing code quality.

• Excellent cross-functional collaboration abilities.

• Proficient in communicating complex technical issues to both technical and non-technical audiences, including senior stakeholders.
