Senior Detection & Security Automation Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the administration, growth, and enhancement of the enterprise SIEM platform.

• Create and sustain SOAR workflows along with security automation functionalities.

• Design, integrate, and manage log sources across cloud, infrastructure, identity, endpoint, and application environments.

• Develop, fine-tune, and uphold detection content.

• Perform proactive threat hunting and act as an escalation point for intricate investigations.

• Execute telemetry management, cost efficiency, data fabric, and data lifecycle management functionalities.

• Work alongside IT, Networking, and Cloud Operations to boost security telemetry coverage, detection efficiency, and incident response preparedness.

• Guide team members and set operational standards.

• Assist in FedRAMP-related security operations tasks.

• Engage in the incident response on-call rotation.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, or equivalent professional experience in lieu of the educational requirement.

• Over 5 years of relevant experience.

• More than 5 years of experience in SIEM/SOAR engineering.

• Strong knowledge of Windows AD and Office 365 environments.

• Familiarity with cloud security monitoring and tooling for data fabric layers.

• Excellent communication abilities.

• Practical understanding of software pipelines.

• Experience in evaluating AI tools for security risks, including data leakage, shadow AI, and prompt injection.

• Awareness of AI governance frameworks and enterprise AI policies.

• Experience utilizing AI for threat detection, log analysis, or security documentation.

• Background in contributing to AI tool evaluation processes.

• Approximately 5% travel may be required.
