Senior Design Execution Project Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee design activities for the construction of hyperscale data centers and additional projects.

• Act as the client's representative, consultant, advisor, and authorized owner's representative throughout all design phases until the transition to the client’s construction team.

• Manage, coordinate, and supervise client design consultants.

• Adapt program-level Plan of Record designs to local requirements.

• Organize large design coordination meetings and page-turn design sessions.

• Facilitate planning, kickoff meetings, design reviews, and extensive workshops.

• Draft contract scopes of work and secure internal stakeholder agreement.

• Issue and manage contracts effectively.

• Define and monitor deliverables.

• Track costs, schedules, progress, and project scope.

• Provide health reports on cost, schedule, scope, and progress.

• Assemble design teams from both matrixed internal stakeholders and external collaborators.

• Manage modifications to project scope and design contracts.

• Facilitate technical decision-making processes.

• Coordinate design activities with procurement and construction efforts.

• Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and external partners.

• Ensure engineering information is delivered to the appropriate party, at the right time, and in the correct format.

• Comply with applicable SOX control responsibilities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or a related discipline.

• Professional licensure (PE, NCARB, RA) is highly preferred; alternatively, significant professional experience (10+ years) may be accepted.

• Previous experience in data center design and/or construction is preferred.

• Strong comprehension of construction principles and practices.

• Experience in preparing project plans and specifications.

• Familiarity with drafting scopes of work.

• Knowledge of government regulations.

• Experience managing multiple projects concurrently.

• Working knowledge of AutoCAD for reviewing and marking up drawings.

• Willingness to travel to project sites approximately 30% of the time.

• Capability to work on projects in and around Atlanta, Charleston, and Raleigh.
