Senior Deployment Engineer, Cloud Infrastructure – Azure/AWS

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee cloud migration, modernization, and infrastructure deployment initiatives across Azure, AWS, and hybrid settings.

• Create and implement highly available, secure, and scalable cloud architectures utilizing the principles of the Azure and AWS Well-Architected Framework.

• Evaluate customer cloud readiness and formulate migration and modernization strategies.

• Establish hybrid connectivity between on-premises data centers and cloud service providers.

• Design and execute cloud networking solutions, including VPNs, ExpressRoute, AWS Direct Connect, VPCs, Virtual Networks, routing, and segmentation.

• Implement cloud VDI solutions using Azure Virtual Desktop and Amazon WorkSpaces.

• Develop Infrastructure as Code solutions utilizing Terraform, ARM/Bicep templates, and AWS CloudFormation.

• Automate cloud deployments and operational processes using PowerShell, Python, Azure CLI, and AWS CLI.

• Enforce cloud security measures, monitoring, governance, backup, disaster recovery, and compliance solutions.

• Collaborate with Cloud Practice Architects to design and deliver multi-cloud service offerings.

• Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and escalation support for junior implementation staff.

• Engage in architecture reviews and contribute to cloud best practices and standards.

• Influence and promote cloud-related capabilities, solutions, and opportunities with partners, operations, and application teams.

• Design and implement secure cloud application environments with centralized identity management.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in designing, implementing, and supporting Microsoft Azure environments.

• At least 3 years of experience in designing, implementing, and supporting Amazon Web Services environments.

• Experience in delivering multi-cloud and hybrid cloud solutions for enterprise clients.

• Strong knowledge of Azure and AWS networking, security, identity, compute, storage, backup, and monitoring services.

• Experience executing cloud migrations from on-premises data centers to Azure and/or AWS.

• Familiarity with cloud governance, cost management, and operational best practices.

• Experience in implementing Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and cloud-native automation tools.

• Proven expertise with Azure Virtual Machines, Virtual Networking, VPN Gateways, ExpressRoute, Load Balancers, Application Gateway, Traffic Manager, Azure Migrate, Azure Site Recovery, Azure Backup, Azure Virtual Desktop, Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Azure Storage, and Azure AD Domain Services.

• Proven experience with AWS EC2, VPC networking, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, VPN, S3, EBS, EFS, FSx, AWS Backup, AWS Migration Hub, Application Migration Service, GuardDuty, Security Hub, Inspector, and AWS Config.

• Senior-level experience with Active Directory.

• Knowledge of SAN and backup technologies.

• Experience with networking and network/system security.

• Extensive knowledge of hypervisors, on-premises Microsoft core infrastructure services, Cisco, Palo Alto, and other infrastructure technology vendors.

• Understanding of automation, IaC, Terraform, ARM templates, and PowerShell.

• Knowledge of SQL Server and Azure SQL is advantageous.

• Experience with Azure Virtual Desktop and Nerdio for MSP is a significant advantage.

• Experience with Azure AI Foundry is a significant plus.

• Understanding of load balancing and scalability techniques.

• Familiarity with project management methodologies.

• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.

• Capability to work independently and manage multiple task assignments.

• Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills, including proficiency in Visio and PowerPoint.
