Senior Deployed AI Engineer, Gemini

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Argentina, +2 more countries.

📋 Description

• Design, construct, and deliver comprehensive AI solutions for enterprise clientele.

• Create user-facing applications utilizing TypeScript and React.

• Develop backend services and APIs using Python or Node.

• Execute agentic functionalities such as orchestration, tool and function invocation, memory management, and guardrails.

• Establish retrieval-augmented generation pipelines that include data ingestion, chunking, embeddings, along with vector and hybrid search.

• Design and create agents utilizing Gemini models, Vertex AI, the Agent Development Kit, and Agent Engine.

• Implement and configure Gemini Enterprise, incorporating Agent Designer, Inbox, and agent sandboxes.

• Integrate Gemini Enterprise with client application environments via first-party and partner connectors while ensuring permissions, governance, and auditability.

• Develop grounded retrieval-backed applications using Vertex AI Search, RAG Engine, Google Search grounding, and BigQuery.

• Enable agent interoperability through A2A and MCP.

• Monitor Google's releases and convert new functionalities into client value.

• Create evaluation suites and regression tests for LLM-driven features.

• Oversee production costs, latency, and quality metrics.

• Deploy applications on GCP, Azure, or AWS.

• Construct and maintain data pipelines that supply AI systems.

• Utilize agentic coding tools daily with verification and review processes.

• Communicate project progress, trade-offs, and obstacles to clients and project leaders.

• Provide pre-sales support when necessary.

• Mentor junior engineers.

• Contribute to internal accelerators, reusable components, and engineering standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3 to 5 years of experience in software or data engineering, with substantial hands-on experience using AI tools and LLM-based development in the past year.

• Strong hands-on expertise with the Google AI stack, including Gemini models and Vertex AI; familiarity with Gemini Enterprise or ADK is preferred.

• At least one solution successfully deployed in production on GCP.

• Proficient programming skills in Python and TypeScript or JavaScript.

• Experience in building and utilizing APIs.

• Front-end development experience with React or similar frameworks.

• Familiarity with at least one backend framework.

• Hands-on experience with RAG, embeddings, and vector search methodologies.

• Experience with at least one agentic framework, such as Google ADK, LangGraph, or LangChain.

• Strong working knowledge of GCP; experience with Azure or AWS is advantageous.

• Proficiency with Claude Code, Gemini CLI, Codex, or Cursor.

• Proven experience in building and maintaining data pipelines.

• Professional English proficiency at C1 or C2 level minimum.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

• Google Cloud certification is mandatory within the first two months if not already obtained.

• Updated resume.

• GitHub link or portfolio showcasing AI systems or full-stack projects developed and deployed in production.

• A 1–2 minute Loom video introducing yourself, presenting a production AI system you owned end-to-end on the Google stack, and discussing your evaluation and reliability approach.

• Submission of both a portfolio and Loom video is required to advance to the next hiring stage.
