Senior DBA – SQL Server

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Operate within critical production settings, offering support to both internal and external technology clients during ongoing operations and new initiatives.

• Manage and provide assistance for SQL Server, MySQL, and PostgreSQL databases.

• Take responsibility for and oversee the environments, ensuring their health and optimal performance.

• Strategically plan and execute activities in a proactive and hands-on approach.

• Foster effective communication and maintain positive interpersonal relationships with colleagues both within the department and across other teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in both relational and non-relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, and MongoDB).

• Demonstrated experience in administering critical and high-availability databases.

• Skilled in analyzing and optimizing queries.

• Familiarity with Always On technology.

• Experience utilizing Zabbix and Grafana for monitoring purposes.

• Knowledge of Agile methodologies.

• Proficient in ITSM tools.

• Experience in submitting change requests in production settings and managing the approval workflows.

• Ability to open support tickets with vendors, ensuring follow-up and escalation when necessary.

• Competent in monitoring databases to identify items that require monitoring concerning availability and performance.

• Knowledgeable in Oracle, MySQL, and PostgreSQL databases.

• Relevant certifications in Oracle, MongoDB, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or SQL Server.

• Experience in cloud environments (AWS).

• Understanding of Oracle Data Guard and SQL Server Always On.

• Knowledge of backup and restore processes using RMAN.

• Familiarity with OEM.
