Senior DBA – SaaS, Postgres

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Install, configure, optimize, and fine-tune PostgreSQL databases.

• Oversee backup, recovery, replication, clustering, and disaster recovery processes.

• Manage database security, including patching, upgrades, and migrations.

• Administer SaaS platforms, Single Sign-On (SSO), Identity and Access Management (IAM), and user lifecycles.

• Monitor systems, automate workflows, respond to incidents, and coordinate with vendors.

• Oversee cloud platforms and Linux server administration.

• Ensure proper documentation, compliance, and ongoing improvement initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience as a PostgreSQL Database Administrator (DBA).

• Proficiency in SQL, performance tuning, and ensuring high availability.

• Experience in Linux administration.

• Background in administering SaaS platforms.

• Familiarity with Azure.

• Scripting skills in Bash, Python, or PowerShell.

• Knowledge of security and compliance best practices.

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.

• Relevant certifications in PostgreSQL, cloud technologies, or Linux are preferred.

• Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes is advantageous.

• Experience with Terraform or Ansible is a plus.

• Familiarity with DevOps and Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) practices is desirable.

• Experience in multi-tenant SaaS environments is a plus.

• Must possess the right to work and travel within the UK; documentary evidence is required.

• Satisfactory vetting, references, and occupational health checks are necessary; a DBS check may be required based on the role.
