Senior Data Scientist – Operations

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Develop algorithms for routing and allocation in parcel delivery.

• Address large-scale optimization challenges that involve vehicles, routes, constraints, and costs.

• Utilize graph-based techniques, clustering, regression, and forecasting methods.

• Create models aimed at enhancing delivery speed, cost-effectiveness, and customer satisfaction.

• Deploy solutions into production at scale.

• Tackle intricate logistics challenges for InPost’s parcel delivery services.

⛳️ Requirements

• Approximately 3+ years of experience in Data Science or Machine Learning roles.

• Proficient in Python and experienced with data/ML libraries.

• Experience handling large-scale datasets.

• Strong grasp of Machine Learning techniques, including regression, clustering, and forecasting.

• Capability to convert business challenges into data-driven solutions.

• Experience in optimization problems like routing, scheduling, or operations research (a standout qualification).

• Familiarity with graph-based strategies or network issues (a standout qualification).

• Experience in developing models that are utilized in production at scale (a standout qualification).

• Proficiency with PySpark and cloud services such as Databricks, GCP, AWS, or Snowflake (a standout qualification).

• Background in MLOps and CI/CD pipelines (a standout qualification).

• Understanding of optimization methods like linear programming and heuristics (a standout qualification).

• Familiarity with Kedro or similar frameworks (a standout qualification).
