This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Design, develop, and sustain ETL pipelines that connect ERP systems, CRM platforms, relational databases, flat files, and APIs.
• Convert raw data into organized event logs and case tables suitable for IBM Process Mining ingestion.
• Conduct data profiling, cleansing, deduplication, and normalization.
• Manage iterative data extraction as process models and data requirements change.
• Load event and transaction log data into IBM Process Mining while configuring case, activity, and timestamp mappings.
• Collaborate with process analysts and stakeholders to create, validate, and refine process models.
• Assist in root cause analysis, conformance checking, and performance evaluations.
• Identify bottlenecks, deviations, and rework loops, and relay findings to business stakeholders.
• Process desktop activity and event logs derived from task mining tools.
• Associate task mining data with transaction logs to generate enhanced end-to-end process views.
• Validate task mining event structures and address data quality challenges.
• Partner with IT, database administrators, and application owners to gain access to data and comprehend source schemas.
• Document ETL pipelines, data dictionaries, transformation logic, and model configurations.
• Communicate data limitations, assumptions, and model restrictions to non-technical stakeholders.
• Support process improvement initiatives by providing data-driven insights derived from process model outputs.
• Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, or a related technical field.
• Over 3 years of experience in ETL development, data engineering, or data integration roles.
• Proficient in SQL for complex querying, joins, and data transformation across SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, and PostgreSQL.
• Experience with Python or R for data manipulation, scripting, and automation, including libraries like pandas, NumPy, and SQLAlchemy.
• Familiarity with event logs, transaction logs, or time-series data in an analytical setting.
• Understanding of process mining concepts, including case ID, activity, timestamp structures, and XES or equivalent event log formats.
• Strong skills in data profiling and data quality evaluation.
• Ability to work iteratively in a dynamic environment where requirements evolve based on model outputs.
• Must be a U.S. citizen due to access requirements for sensitive, controlled data.
• Preferred: hands-on experience with IBM Process Mining or similar tools like Celonis, UiPath Process Mining, or Minit.
• Preferred: experience with task mining platforms such as UiPath Task Mining or Microsoft Task Mining.
• Preferred: familiarity with ETL orchestration tools like Apache Airflow, Informatica, Talend, SSIS, or Azure Data Factory.
• Preferred: experience with data platforms and services from AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Preferred: knowledge of BPMN and Lean or Six Sigma process improvement frameworks.
• Preferred: experience in government contracting or within a regulated industry.
• Preferred: Master's degree in a relevant technical discipline.
