Senior Data Scientist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Design, test, and refine machine learning models related to credit, fraud, risk, and user behavior.

• Investigate new methodologies, variables, and analytical strategies aimed at achieving tangible business results.

• Engage in the entire model lifecycle, encompassing the design, implementation, and management of data and ML pipelines in a production setting, ensuring both stability and performance.

• Collaborate closely with Engineering, Product, and Risk teams to convert business challenges into analytical solutions and scalable models.

• Perform exploratory analyses, tests, experiments, and evaluations of model performance.

• Track business and model performance metrics to help pinpoint areas for enhancement.

• Aid in the establishment of the team’s development best practices, version control, and technical quality.

⛳️ Requirements

• Prior experience in Data Science, Machine Learning, or Analytics.

• Solid grounding in statistics, predictive modeling, and data analysis.

• Proficiency in Python and machine learning libraries.

• Knowledge of supervised models, feature engineering, and model evaluation.

• Experience with SQL and handling large datasets.

• A curiosity to explore new methodologies and a dedication to ongoing learning.

• An analytical and pragmatic mindset, comfortable in fast-paced environments with shifting priorities.

• Excellent communication skills and the capability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams.

• Preferred: experience in fintech, credit, fraud, risk, or payments.

• Preferred: experience with models in production or MLOps topics.

• Preferred: familiarity with gradient boosting, neural networks, Graph Neural Networks, or LLMs.

• Preferred: experience with Foundational Models and embeddings.

• Preferred: experience in cloud environments.

• Preferred: knowledge of Airflow, MLflow, Feast, or similar tools.

• Preferred: advanced proficiency in English.
