Senior Data Protection Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Act as a subject matter expert on issues related to data protection security and trends in the external DLP market.

• Evaluate event data from Cyberhaven’s Data Detection and Response platform to enhance policies and manage incidents/alerts.

• Detect potential areas of data loss risk.

• Collaborate with clients to establish incident response workflows that align with security objectives and policies.

• Adjust datasets and policies as clients’ data risk strategies and business needs change.

• Identify trends and formulate requirements to refine data detection and response policies.

• Prepare and deliver formal presentations to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Work together with Product and Development teams to devise strategies for monitoring and preventing data loss.

• Reduce noise and eliminate false-positive information from analytical results.

• Conduct forensic analysis on individuals, groups, and unauthorized egress destinations.

• Report directly to the Head of Global Service within the Professional Services Organization.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of experience with a data protection product.

• Familiarity with best practices in endpoint protection and incident mitigation workflows.

• More than 2 years of experience with Insider Threat Programs and Information Security.

• At least 4 years of experience providing expert advice on security issues impacting data protection and procedures vulnerable to insider threats.

• Strong problem-solving skills and analytical abilities, demonstrating both creative and logical thinking.

• Highly driven with a customer-centric mindset and strong empathy for clients.

• Capability to function effectively as part of a global team.

• Proficiency in creating management-level presentations and analyses regarding incident investigations.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.

• Desired familiarity with SIEM/SOAR technologies.

• Knowledge of security controls for managing sensitive data types.

• Experience in conducting technical analysis and overseeing documentation and project management for incident response related to data security issues.

• Understanding of macOS, Linux, and Windows operating environments.

• Expertise in DLP, Insider Threat, and CASB solutions.

• Familiarity with cloud applications and services.

• A strong passion for cloud technologies and related innovations.
