Senior Data Protection Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Provide insights into DLP analytics and associated challenges.

• Analyze event data from Cyberhaven’s Data Detection and Response (DDR) platform to enhance policies and manage incidents/alerts.

• Identify potential areas of data loss risk.

• Refine datasets and policies as the customers’ data risk strategies and business requirements evolve.

• Prepare and present summaries and reports to team members within the organization.

• Reduce noise and false-positive information from analytical results to improve detection accuracy.

• Conduct forensic analysis on individuals, groups, and unauthorized egress destinations as needed.

• Perform technical evaluations of data security incidents.

• Investigate endpoint forensic incidents and possible insider threats.

• Manage documentation and project management aspects of the incident response process.

• Analyze events and incidents.

• Contribute to Cyberhaven’s Professional Services and Managed Services operations.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5+ years of experience with data protection or related security tools (EDR, SIEM, SOAR).

• 2+ years of experience in Insider Threat/InfoSec.

• Strong understanding of endpoint protection best practices and incident mitigation workflows.

• Experience with DLP, Insider Threat, CASB, and controls for managing sensitive data.

• Proficient across macOS, Linux, Windows, and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).

• SQL experience for data analysis.

• Capability to create and maintain dashboards.

• Proficient in editing XML-based DLP rules.

• Experience with scripting and APIs.

• Excellent problem-solving and communication abilities.

• Customer-focused approach with an interest in cloud security and emerging technologies.
