Senior Data Platform Engineer – Cloud Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.

📋 Description

• Design and evolve data architectures on AWS.

• Lead end-to-end technical initiatives, from design to production deployment.

• Define standards, best practices, and architectural patterns.

• Implement infrastructure as code using Terraform.

• Design and optimize data workflows with Apache Airflow (MWAA).

• Build CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.

• Manage and optimize services such as ECS/Fargate and Redshift.

• Develop automation solutions with Python and Ansible.

• Ensure scalability, security, reliability, and cost efficiency.

• Participate in governance, quality, and metadata management initiatives.

• Mentor technical profiles and promote continuous improvement.

• Collaborate with global teams on technological modernization, automation, and large-scale data architecture initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of experience in Data Engineering, Platform Engineering, Cloud Engineering, or DevOps.

• More than 5 years of experience working with AWS.

• Proven experience designing and operating enterprise data platforms in the cloud.

• Experience leading technical projects or initiatives.

• Advanced knowledge of AWS Architecture.

• Proficiency in Apache Airflow / Amazon MWAA.

• Expertise in Terraform.

• Strong skills in Python.

• Familiarity with Amazon ECS & AWS Fargate.

• Experience with Amazon Redshift.

• Knowledge of GitHub Actions (CI/CD).

• Proficient in Ansible.

• Advanced SQL skills.

• Understanding of Data Lake and Data Warehouse concepts.

• Experience in governance and metadata management.

• Familiarity with Agile environments (Jira and Confluence).

• Knowledge of dbt Core, dbt Cloud, Semantic Layer, Data Mesh, Apache Iceberg, Apache Spark 3, FinOps, cloud cost optimization, and AWS CloudFormation is a plus.
