Senior Data Platform Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Take charge of the Databricks infrastructure to guarantee performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.

• Construct and oversee cloud infrastructure utilizing AWS and infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform.

• Design and document scalable systems that facilitate reproducible and automated machine learning workflows.

• Collaborate with Data Scientists, Data Engineers, ML Engineers, and Infrastructure partners to ensure platform features meet business requirements.

• Manage complex engineering projects from conception through implementation and ongoing support.

• Regularly evaluate and enhance platform usability, efficiency, and scalability in line with industry best practices.

• Advocate for technical excellence through peer reviews, mentorship, and comprehensive documentation.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 3+ years of experience in ML Platform, Data Platform, Infrastructure, or Data Engineering roles.

• Demonstrated hands-on experience with Databricks in a production setting.

• Strong expertise in infrastructure-as-code, particularly with Terraform or Pulumi.

• Proficient in AWS and container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.

• Solid Python programming skills and familiarity with machine learning libraries and tools (e.g., MLflow, pandas, scikit-learn).

• Proven experience in owning and managing complex systems at scale.

• Excellent communication skills with the capacity to produce clear, technical documentation.

• Experience in working across functions in dynamic, collaborative environments.
